This workshop will offer an opportunity to hear from and dialogue with industry colleagues on how to continue to support women in our field. While the presentation centers around women, the core message is about building effective teams, strong industries, and resilient communities; it is about how effective EM requires the perspective and work of women and diverse groups. Panelists will share their perspective, experiences, and tools for maintaining our forward momentum engaging women in the industry. Panelists will be encouraged to pull from experiences throughout the pandemic and other emergency management response operations and to focus on the overall impact increasing women in the industry has on community planning, preparedness, and response. Audience members will walk away with practical applications on increasing and sustaining women, and diversity in general, in their workplace.
