CERT programs in Florida have grown over the years in their capabilities and are used throughout Florida in various roles and capacities. The panel will present and discuss how CERT is a force multiplier, and can be a gap filler in various situations, and how valuable CERT was during Hurricane Ian in various capacities. Regardless of the size of the organization, CERT can be a valued asset to all communities. This panel discussion will provide an overview of CERT’s assistance during Hurricane Ian. The presenters will discuss donation warehouse management, traffic control, points of distribution, logistical support, and managing a citizen information line.  The panel will highlight several Florida CERT programs and what makes them successful, and how CERT can integrate into your Mass Care Operations and Logistics Operations.
