The workshop will interactively explore the use of HURREVAC to support community decision-making during tropical storms and hurricanes. Participants will have the opportunity to apply select HURREVAC functions through the sharing of best practices as attributes of various wind and surge hazards are evaluated. Topics such as wind timing, deterministic vs. probabilistic projections, storm surge evacuation decision-making, etc., will be considered in application. This is not basic knobology training, but rather a series of demonstrations pointing out best practices in order to get the most out of the data within the common platform of HURREVAC.
