WS143. How to Manage a HMGP Project Post-Award

The purpose of this workshop is to provide clear information of all HMGP post-award project requirements, and identify potential challenges and solutions. Participants will leave this workshop with a better understanding of post-award responsibilities and requirements and learn about best practices to avoid potential challenges.

Post-award activities involve a significant amount of work, including the following: (1) Implementing the grant (state contracting, technical plan, procurement, bidding, permitting); (2) Monitoring the grant (construction/installation, schedules, Local compliance); (3) Reporting Progress (quarterly); (4) Financial requirements (requesting reimbursement, Cost adjustments); and (5) Closeout requirements (State Inspections/compliance, Financial and FEMA).
