PBCCC 1A

One of the most common fears of all professionals in the workplace is being asked to speak in front of an audience, particularly being asked to give a last-minute presentation. Such requests are a common anxiety inducer for many people. As Emergency Managers, we don’t have the luxury of avoiding public speaking and presentations, at least not if we hope to advance past a certain point in our careers. In this training course, participants will each prepare and deliver 4 speeches or presentations in a supportive environment. Participants will also practice by providing feedback to one another. The goal is to give participants the tools to be a better, more effective speaker and practice putting them to use to increase their comfort level speaking in public.
