Walton County Emergency Management is the department tasked with the management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all aspects of disasters, in particular mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery for all types of natural, technological, or man-made hazards.

The Mission of Walton County Emergency Management is to prevent, mitigate, prepare, respond, and recover from all hazards, emergencies and disasters using a whole community approach.

What is Emergency Management
Emergency management involves plans, structures and arrangements established to engage the normal endeavors of government, voluntary, and private agencies in a comprehensive and coordinated way to respond to the whole spectrum of emergency needs.
